ASHC joins Kenya Soil Health Consortium
George Oduor, the project manager of the Africa Soil Health Consortium, has been appointed to serve on the steering committee of the Kenya Soil Health Consortium.
“We are really keen to explore how ASHC, as the African Consortium, can work effectively with national consortiums.
The Kenya Soil Health Consortium is very well placed to have a great impact on the implementation of integrated soil fertility management nationally.
I will be looking to bring to the group knowledge ASHC has gained from its work across Africa – but I am also confident that areas of best practice will be developed here in Kenya.
Our work has shown that Kenya has some of the most exciting opportunities for innovative communications. ASHC has already worked on SMS programmes, comic books, enrichment of the school curriculum and even access television and radio slots to get the ISFM message across in a targeted way in Kenya.
We wish the new Kenyan Soil Health Consortium every success.”
